Optimizing Fingerprint Recognition
The software uses an advanced mathematical algorithm to match the user registered to a finger print. It can identify one print out of thousands of saved prints very accurately.
What you can do to ensure a match
Choose the best finger to touch the fingerprint sensor pad to ensure the best possible matching.
Best finger to use
- Clean finger
- Fingers used less frequently in daily activities usually have deep ridges that show up as sharp images
- Non dominant hand (left for most people)
Fingerprint Reader
- Use a quality fingerprint reader with a high resolution camera for high detail print images
- Sensor pad should be free of dirt to enable a clear picture of the print
Fingerprint Enrollment
It is important to save a high quality enrollment image for each finger to make identification fastest during use
- Center finger tip on the sensor pad
- Press firmly
- Image should look sharp and clear
- Touch the fingerprint sensor 4 times to save 4 images of each finger
- Enroll several fingers per user as a backup in case one of their fingers becomes dirty or scratched
Fingerprint Recognition Match to Clock In
- Center finger tip on the sensor pad
- Press firmly
- Try to reproduce the print image as close as possible to the saved enrollment image
- Image should look sharp and clear

Following these guidelines will produce the best fingerprint matching results.
